I was born in 1963; I grew up and worked during the first part of my life in Santiago del Estero,
Argentina.
Having arrived to Barcelona in 2003 it started what I call my second stage of life. After finishing
my Human Resources master that brought me to the city, I made up my mind to remain in
Barcelona in order to live and work here. This city has been a great inspiration for me because
of its Catalonian modernism heritage and the Gaudi’s reinterpretation of the gothic style with
nature’s elements and beings. Professionally I started working in Barcelona in a technical
services company and later moved on to an international cooperation NGO. I knew that my
professional career as electrical engineer was near the end and the humanitarian issues called
particularly my attention so I worked for vulnerable people during two years as volunteer as
well as employee at the same time. While having those jobs, in 2004 I began my formal art and
sculpture studies at the “Escola d’Arts i Oficis de Barcelona”.
The four years at the art school with its bohemian atmosphere, crowded of spirits curious of
new aesthetical developments, plus the growing need to express my own nature, my vision of
the human condition, were the elements that engendered the amalgam of what it should be
my expressive style.
I participated in numerous exhibitions and actions like the collective exhibit at Carmen Sallent
Gallery in Barcelona, the annual collective exhibits from 2005 to 2008 at the Escola d’Arts i
Oficis from the Deputy of Barcelona, collective action “Art amb Gracia” for Paspartú Gallery in
Barcelona, collective exhibit “Portes Obertas” for the Freixas, collective exhibit “Nit 10” for the
white night of the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat Town Hall, collective exhibit at the Seisida
Congress in Valencia. I participated invited by the Tourism Board of Santiago del Estero to the
1º National Sculpture Symposium of Mythologies and Legends in Argentina.
Besides I participated as member of the Selection Committee for the Young’s Contest of
Photography of the Red Cross‐CCM.
This last period was a constant experimentation and giving sculptural form to some ideas,
visions and dreams that accompanied me up to that moment. It was useful for the inspiration
of my tridimensional language names such as Rodin, Zadkine, Moore, Brancusi and Bourgeois.
The human form, the nature’s organic form, the vivid colors and the intimate mood to deal
with the themes that ever obsessed me such as the dual nature of life, the transcendence and
supra‐natural, the understanding of an alternative way of living and the emotions were the
engines of my creation and recreation. In my pieces I work in two directions, from
representation to abstraction and from abstraction to figurative elements incorporation, until I
reach the point of the work that makes me feel happy and complete.
Since the end of 2009 I started my professional commitment to sculpture and I intensified my
artistic career working in my studio located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat in between the artistic
community Freixas. In 2010 I participated in several collective exhibitions such as for the
Associació d’Arts i Oficis for the Caixa Manlleu in Vic, for ADIP in Barcelona and had my first
solo exhibition at ADA Gallery in Barcelona called “Addictive Life”. I also joined support actions
for raising funds and awareness of children illnesses and different art contests national and
international.
This year 2011 I participated in two collective exhibits, one in April at Giorni
d’Arte Fair in Carrara, Italy and the other later at Gallery Javier Roman in Malaga, Spain.
Up to now, I have plans for participating at a collective exhibit in Art&Miss Gallery in Paris and at the SNBA annual exhibit in Paris too, this coming December.
